Utopiayile Rajavu Movie Review and Rating :
The basic plot of the movie revolves around the imaginary village Kokkrankara. CP Swathanthran (Mammootty) is the son of a freedom fighter. His paternal cousin (Sunil Sukhadha) snatches the ancestral properties after the death of his father. Swathanthran is funnily called as ‘Utopiayile Rajavu’ by the villagers, because of his innocent nature and peculiar name. He decides to put a statue of his father in Kokkrankara junction. Then he meets Umadevi (Jewel Mary), a social worker. What happens next forms the rest of the story.

#UtopiayileRajavu(2.5/5): Tried hard to be a political satire on current Kerala politics and social regime. But apart from well intentions nicely written one liners movie seemed focus less and overly stretched. overall It worths a one time watch for its interesting one-liners and characters.
Positives:
- Performances by lead cast
- Cinematography
- Comedy tracks
Negatives:
- Same old story
- Screenplay
- Stretched plot
Rating:
We give a Rating of 3/5 to Utopiayile Rajavu
Final Verdict:
Utopiayile Rajavu is a one time watch. Watch it for Mammotty’s performance and a village backdrop story. The movie has some comedy elements and entertaining spots but will bore you at some point.
