National Institute of Technology, Karnataka invites applications for admission to the master program business administration (MBA) from the session 2015-17
Full-time MBA program in two years (four semesters)

Course of Study
Humanities, Social Sciences and Management
MBA – Master of Business Administration (DEA, not a degree) Minimum Qualification & Eligibility: Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university with no less than 60% marks (or grade point average (GPA) of at least 6.5 in the 0-10 scale grading system) in all taking into account the marks scored in all subjects for all University examinations conducted during the duration of the prescribed curriculum.
However, this minimum prescribed mark must be 55% (CGPA of 6.0 in the 0-10 scale grading system) in the case of SC / ST.
CAT – 2014 / * GMAT – 2014 Score
Admission is based on rank / valid Scores obtained in the CAT / GMAT-2014, group discussion and Personal Interview
Weightage (%) for different criteria – components:
- i) CAT Score / GMAT score: 70% (weightage)
- ii) Group Discussion: 10% (weightage)
iii) Personal interview: 10% (weightage)
- iv) Professional experience: 10% (weightage)
GMAT obtained within 24 months prior to the last date of application will be considered.
Selection Procedure:
The selection of the MBA program will be through the Institute during March and is based on the criteria outlined above.

The application form prescribed MBA program can be downloaded from the website of the Institute www.nitk.ac.in
The application form can be completed and sent to the Asst. Registrar (Academic), National Institute of Technology Karnataka, Surathkal, Srinivasnagar, Mangalore-575025, Karnataka, on or before the last date prescribed 12th January 2015 with a project application Rs.600 / – (in case of SC / ST, Rs.150 / -) drawn in favor of Director, National Institute of Technology Karnataka, Surathkal, Srinivasnagar, payable at State Bank of India, Surathkal / Canara Bank, NITK Campus (Canara Bank-DP code 8517)
Application without the demand draft (DD) for the required amount will not consider incomplete applications / defective / received late may be rejected summarily and no correspondence will be allowed on such applications.

The applicant must pay a fee of Rs.600 application / – in the form of a demand draft in favor of the Director, National Institute of Technology Karnataka, Surathkal and Srinivasnagar, payable at State Bank of India Surathkal.
