IRNSS-1C TO LAUNCH ON OCT 16 2014 by ISRO

The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) as all set to launch its new satellite and began a 67 hour countdown on monday 13 oct 2014 6:32 am .The satellite is carried by Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV)-C26 .The new satellite is named asIndian Regional Navigation Satellite System (IRNSS) and it will be launched on 16 oct 2014 1:32 am from  Satish Dhawan Space Centre (SDSC)-SHAR, Sriharikota.

                                          The Indian Regional Navigation Satellite System(IIRNS) is Indian Global Positioning System which is use to track the precise location dynamically in Indian sub continent and global services by connecting to U.S G.P.S

IRNSS is a project to launch seven satellites, to improve India’s navigation system, which can be contemparary with U.S and Russian G.P.S .The on 16 oct 2014 IRNSS-1Cwill be sent and predecessors, IRNSS-1A and IRNSS-1B, were launched by PSLV-C22 and PSLV-C24, in Jul 2013 and Apr 2014, respectively.

The previous launch vechile  PSLV-C25 is used for Mars Orbiter Mission (MOM) last year and the project is successful as the mission to enter Mars as started and sentsome pics .

  IRNSS 1C as a  lift-off mass of 1,425.4 kg would be shot into a sub Geosynchronous Transfer Orbit (sub GTO) by PSLV-C26.
