Alastair Cook ‘very, very upset’ at losing England captaincy, says James Anderson:
Alastair Cook was shattered by the decision of England Board Selectors to remove as a England ODI captain. He was “Very, Very Upset” to loose England ODI Captaincy. The strong decision was taken due to his current form in 50-over format and that leads to retrench from the Captaincy.
Anderson, said that “Cook was one of my close friends in Cricket” and said he was absolutely shattered by this decision. To change the captain so close to the World Cup 2015 was a big call but the selectors clearly felt his recent form with bat had been too poor for too long.
I saw cook at the World Darts Championshiip at the ‘Ally Pally’ just three days after he lost his job. He was very, very upset and still a bit raw.” Cook was much struggling with his form and he made only one half hundred in last ten ODI matches. 30 Year Old Cook was in very good form in 2011 and 2012, then he was claimed to be greatest batsman in England Cricket.
The England board replaced by Eoin Morgan as a England ODI captain and he leads the team in the World Cup 2015 held in Australia and New Zealand.
Andersons said that England had better chances of winning World Cup this time and his dream to win the World Cup for England. Even Morgan was tricky guy and he knows much about 50 over format. My concentration was on the upcoming series with India and Australia said by Anderson.
