UPSC IES ISS Examination

Exam Details:
Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has announced the exam dates for Indian Economic Service/Indian Statistical Service (IES/ISS-2015), which will be conducted in May 2015. The IES/ISS will be held on Saturday, May 23, 2015 (3 days).
IES/ISS is conducted for recruitment to the Grade IV officers for the Indian Statistical Service (ISS) and Indian Economic Service (IES).

Eligibility:
Age Limits:-
(a) Candidates aged between 21 and 30 years of age as on 01st August 2013 are eligible to apply. Candidates born between 02nd August 1983 and 01st August, 1992 are eligible to apply.
(b) The upper age limit prescribed above will be relaxable:–
(i) upto a maximum of five years if a candidate belongs to a Scheduled Caste or a Scheduled Tribe.
(ii) upto a maximum of three years in the case of candidates belonging to Other Backward Classes who are eligible to avail of reservation applicable to such candidates.

Qualification:-
A candidate aspiring for the Indian Economic Service must have obtained a Postgraduate degree in Economics/Applied Economics/Business Economics/ Econometrics and a candidate for the Indian Statistical Service must have obtained a Post-Graduate degree in Statistics/Mathematical Statistics/ Applied Statistics from a university incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or other educational institutes established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956, or a foreign university approved by the Central Govt. from time to time.

Fee:-
Candidates (excepting Female/SC/ST/ PH candidates who are exempted from payment of fee) are required to pay a fee of Rs. 200/- (rupees two hundred only) either by depositing the money in any Branch of SBI by cash, or by using net banking facility of SBI, State Bank of Bikaner & Jaipur/ State Bank of Hyderabad/State Bank of Mysore/ State Bank of Patiala/State Bank of Travancore or by using Visa/Master Credit/Debit Card.

How To Apply:
This application form along with an Information Brochure containing general instructions for filling up the form, an acknowledgement card and an envelope for sending the application is obtainable from the designated Head Post Offices/Post Offices throughout the country and may be purchased against cash payment of Rs. 20/-
Candidates must use only the form supplied with the Information Brochure. Form should be purchased from the designated Post Offices only and not from any other agency. Candidates must not use photocopy/ reproduction/ unauthorized printed copy of the Form. This will entail rejection. Each form can be used only once and for only one examination.

· Detailed instructions for filling up Online Application is as follows
· You are first required to complete Part-I of the application form.
· After filling in the application you are required to make payment of application fee.
· Application fee can be paid either through online or offline means.
· After doing so you are required to fill Part-II of the application form.
· A scanned photograph and signature should be uploaded
· On successful completion of the process you will be issued a registration number.
· A print of the application form must be taken. (Useful for future reference).
