Samsung working on a new standard for faster Wi-Fi

Samsung announced that it is developing a new standard called Wi-Fi network 802.11ad, which multiplied by 5, the current transmission rate of data.

The new wave of wireless technology use 60 instead of 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz to transmit data. Because of that, the speed can reach up to 4.5 Gbps will; that means it will be possible to send a 1GB video over Wi-Fi in just 3 seconds.

According to the Samsung blog, the new Wi-Fi standard eliminates interference of the transmission channel to match the theoretical transmission speeds with real, regardless of the number of devices that are connected to the network.

The company plans to start marketing this new technology next year and also expects to implement the 802.11ad standard video devices, medical equipment and telecommunications systems, and contribute to the development of intelligent home Samsung and other initiatives the Internet of things.
